It all started with two moms
on a mission

Since 1990, we have been supporting local families in need by fostering resiliency, self-sufficiency, and family stability. Thanks to generous donors, grant funding, and a volunteer-only staff, we have been able to serve over 3,200 families each year through our storefront, representing an average of 11,000 children annually.

About Us

Right here in our own community, families are facing heartbreaking realities every day—and the need is greater than ever.

1 in 3 local families struggles to meet basic needs.

Access to essentials like car seats, baby formula, hygiene products, and safe sleeping arrangements is a daily challenge—not a given.

Diapers aren’t covered by government assistance.

Families living in poverty often go without clean diapers, leading to health issues and emotional stress for both parent and child.

Single mothers make up over 60% of the families we serve.

These women are often juggling multiple jobs, unstable housing, and childcare—just to keep their families afloat.

Our Goals

Essential Family Support

To provide families in need with basic necessities such as clothing, baby supplies, and household items in a respectful, supportive environment. It is vital to our mission to provide our clients with referrals, resources and support to promote long-term stability and help them to make their house a home.

Equitable Access for All

We strategically secured a 7,000 sq. ft. facility located on the border of Sarasota & Manatee county and a fleet of mobile outreach relief trailers in Palmetto & North Port to increase access to vital resources for underserved families in our community.

Empowerment Through Education

To promote self-sufficiency and family wellness through parenting classes, financial literacy workshops, and support programs.

Building Community Connections

To create a strong support system for families through peer groups, mentoring, and inclusive community programming.

Strengthening Local Partnerships

To collaborate with local agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive care and coordinated support for families.

Investing in Volunteer Impact

To train and support volunteers in meaningful roles that strengthen our mission and expand our reach in the community.
