Toy Day at Mothers Helping Mothers

On December 16th, 2026 Mothers Helping Mothers will be handing out toys to bring joy to over 1000 of our children

This is an invite-only lottery system. Eligible clients will receive a text message with a link to enter. See more details below in the FAQs.

What to Expect

Toy Day Mothers Helping Mothers
  • Lottery winners shop between 8:30AM & 4:30PM by special appointment. Link will be texted to winners.
  • Held off-site at Bob Boast Volkswagen in Bradenton (4827 14th St W, Bradenton, FL 34207)
  • Toys will be unwrapped so parents can select items.
  • Please try and arrange for childcare so you can shop and not spoil the surprise, but if you can't, we can watch them for you while you shop.
  • Full check-in and event details will be included in your appointment confirmation text

Toy Day Client FAQs

We’ve answered some of the most common questions about our annual Toy Day event. 

Toy Day is one of our biggest events of the year — a special holiday shopping experience where selected Mothers Helping Mothers (MHM) families receive new toys for their children.

Because demand is so high, we use a lottery system to keep things fair and organized. Families who are selected through the lottery will receive an appointment to shop for the event on  December 16, 2026.

To qualify, families must:

  • Have shopped at Mothers Helping Mothers at least once between October 10, 2025-2026

  • Have two or more children (this helps us serve the most kids possible — Toy Day spots are limited to 350 appointments)

  • Not be participating in any other holiday toy program.

Note: We cross-check lists with other local toy drives. If your name appears on another list, your MHM Toy Day spot will be canceled so we can help more families.

Details will be updated by October 1, 2026.

  • Make sure your phone number on file is current — all messages will be sent by text. If you’ve you’re not sure your # is correct on your account, you can send us a message to update it here update it here.

  • Do not share your links — each is unique and connected to your household.

Please don’t enter if you’re already receiving toys from another organization.

We want every child in our community to have something special this holiday season.

Quick Rules for Shopping Appointments

You will be able to book your appointment after you’ve scrolled down.

Who Can Be a Client

  • Must live in Sarasota or Manatee County

  • Have custody of children under 18 or be pregnant (must bring proof of children/pregnancy at your first visit only)

  • Pregnant? Shopping for baby items starts 60 days before due date only

  • Bring ID/passport to each appointment

About Your Visit

  • Appointment required (no walk-ins)

  • Shop once every 4 months

  • Only you, spouse, and registered children may shop (no guests)

  • 40 minutes per visit to shop

  • Item limits apply — shop for your family only

  • Free childcare is provided on most days

Baby Items – New Baby Items are only provided 60 days before delivery date!

  • New Clients book an appointment and shop can shop within 60 days of delivery. 

  • Returning Clients – If you’re within 60 days of your due date, and it’s not time to return, you can book an appointment for just ‘Baby Only Items’. If it’s been 4+ months since your last visit, just schedule a regular appointment to shop the whole store plus get your baby items.

  •  The special Baby Only Items appointment won’t affect regular clients scheduled return date.  

Appointments & Cancellations

  • Returning too early? Your appointment will be canceled & you will need to reschedule

  • Times available every 15 minutes – Book only one slot on your desired day

  • Enter name exactly as it is on your ID + correct email/phone

  • No Show Policy: 1 free miss. After that, a missed appointment will be counted as a visit and you won’t be able to return for 4 more months.
